Sunrise Haven is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization incorporated in Washington State and operating in compliance with applicable State laws pertaining to nursing homes. The Washington State Department of Social and Health Services inspects Sunrise Haven on an annual basis. Sunrise Haven is exempt from some specific state laws and regulations that conflict with the theology and practice of Christian Science.
Sunrise Haven is fully accredited by The Commission for Accreditation of Christian Science Nursing Organizations/Facilities, Inc. (“The Commission”), an independent, nationally recognized body that inspects and accredits Christian Science nursing organizations. The Commission inspects Sunrise Haven on a regular basis to maintain high organizational standards.
Board of Trustees
The volunteer members of the Sunrise Haven Board of Trustees are experienced Christian Scientists. The Board governs Sunrise Haven in accordance with the accreditation standards set by The Commission, and in compliance with federal, State, and local laws.

The Church Manual Bylaw titled “Christian Science Nurse” sets the standard for Christian Science nursing.
This Bylaw and the Sunrise Haven mission statement are the foundation on which trustees, managers, and staff evaluate Sunrise Haven’s capacity and effectiveness in fulfilling its mission through the services it provides.
Dedicated individuals in the business, food service, housekeeping, and maintenance departments thoughtfully support the primary activity of Christian Science nursing.
